A water tank is basically a calm, sensible friend who shows up before the panic starts. Whether you are dealing with municipal interruptions, borehole buffering or rainwater harvesting, storage gives your property breathing room.
Size matters, but context matters more
A small household backup tank has a different job from a commercial buffer system. Calculate daily usage, expected outage duration and whether water is for drinking, cleaning, irrigation or production.
Do not forget treatment
Stored water can pick up sediment, biofilm and odours if the tank is neglected. First-flush diverters, sealed lids, strainers, periodic cleaning and disinfection all help.
